Make note of the following;

A new job has opened at QUIK and this short post is to start to explore it.

The ARM M4= ARM M3 +DSP instructions.

The job openning is for DSP expertise.

So just more support for the future to hold the M4 above the FFE.
There was no doubt for me.

Some sensors, ( always on mic for example- ie audience are DSP based)  and I did not know how to handicap the race, so I like this A LOT as QUIK will have the expertise to do what is asked in the DSP arena.

Thanks QUIK for filling in any possible gaps in the SoC offering.

  • The inference is that QUIK has the bits and pieces and will have the expertise to make the very best SoC that there will be
  • "Deeply embedded"  -Floating point will be made use of.  Algos will run both places, the FFE and the M4.  That new person with the Algo team, with real expertise in very complex indoor location, will be able to do some amazing stuff with this sort of silicon.  A very tiered approach will  give great power figures and the complex ability to do some very cool stuff.

PEELS adjacent possibe is vast, especially with the 50 Million from Ali,  I already went over some of the 10 job openings they have to see where they hope to go.

The most recent PEEL blog entry is here

http://blog.peel.com/blog/

They have moved past 100 million users.
What % of these devices will have both a senor hub and the IRdA?  A Lot of them is the answer.
What % of these devices are Samsung?  Also very high, but that will change   as they move into the BIG names of China.

It bodes well that PEELS adjaent possible has some over lap and creates QUIK's adjacent possible also.  We can track to see just how big the over lap becomes as we move forward.

As they move into the smart home remote control the flexibility of the S2 may be very useful for
them, can a remote conbtrol be better than a thermostat?  I get it  and believe that is pretty accurate,
also China is better than North America.
