Samsung Gear Fit Pro: Is Samsung plotting a new Tizen fitness tracker?

Samsung is nearly ready to launch a brand new fitness tracker, according to a new report.
Several months ago, specialist blog Sammobile published an article claiming that Samsung was working on a new fitness tracker called the Gear Fit Pro. The article noted that Samsung had even secured a trademark for the device name. However, we’ve heard very little since then.
Today, Sammobile published a new report that says the Gear Fit Pro may be announced at Samsung’s upcoming Tizen Developer Conference. This major annual convention takes place on May 16 and May 17 in San Francisco, California, and will likely play host to a number of announcements.
The report goes on the claim that the Gear Fit Pro will ship with the model number ‘SM-R365’, and that it may launch alongside another new device called the Gear POP, a.k.a ‘SM-R600’. However, it’s not exactly clear what the Gear POP will be. Perhaps a more colourful, budget-friendly wearable, as was the case with the Withings Activité Pop.
Samsung’s Tizen Developer Conference focuses on the company’s Tizen operating system. Although many of Samsung’s devices run on Google’s Android or Microsoft’s Windows, Samsung has still maintained Tizen throughout the years. We’ve seen Tizen feature on a wide range of products, including phones, televisions, and wearables – so a Tizen-powered Gear Fit Pro isn’t out of the question.
Unfortunately, we can’t say anything for sure until Samsung makes an official announcement, so take this latest leak with due caution.
So it really fits with what they want to do. Its...

We reported three months ago that Samsung was possibly working on a new fitness tracker called the Gear Fit Pro. It already has a trademark for the name so that’s one less thing it has to done before releasing this device. Not much is known about the Gear Fit Pro at this point in time. It may presumably be linked to Samsung’s Simband health platform which will provide cloud-sourced health tracking.
Samsung launched this platform three years ago and also showed off a Simband reference wearable device. The reference device had the ability to measure metrics like heart rate, body temperature, oxygen level and more.
Our information suggests that the Gear Fit Pro is going to bear model number SM-R365. Samsung may also launch a new device called the Gear POP with model number SM-R600. Unfortunately, it’s unclear right now what this device is going to be. Hopefully, we’ll find more information about this mystery device in the coming days.
Perhaps Samsung is going to talk more about these devices at the upcoming Tizen Developer Conference which takes place on May 16-17 in San Francisco, California. Samsung hasn’t confirmed if new hardware will be unveiled at the conference so this is pure speculation right now.
So somehow they have the product numbers now...SM-R365, SM-R600.
So not only may there be a Geat fit pro, but a mystery device. I sift the sands relentlessly in this area. The Gear POP?
Has NOT been seen in any way, anywhere.......
Getting close now?
I think so.
So those of you who only know things that have not come to pass....take a pill of the Adjacent Possilbe and hang in there.

Put the above incremental info into what we already have...
When it comes to wearables, Samsung isn't happy leaving the heavy lifting to the likes of Apple and Fitbit. Instead, not only does it plan to launch multiple new devices this year, but it believes the new devices will be innovative enough to see others copy its lead.
"It's a key area of focus for us," Notton said of the wearable tech space. "It's clear to us that the wearable market continues to grow year-on-year and we're in a position where we can influence that."
It won't be years until we start to see these tweaked smartwatch designs filtering through either. According to the Samsung product head, these new devices will start to drop in the coming months.
"You'll see, as we go through the year, that there will be more and more wearable products that come from Samsung that we will launch," he told us.
Note that swe did NOT have product numbers TILL TODAY.
That is incremental info.... That there are wearables that are UNKNOWN in the GEEK world...
