I recently met with the CEO from the products group of this company to discuss this new design
and his outlook for the future.
A key takeaway from our conversation is that our heterogeneous multi-core architecture and eFPGA in the EOS S3 Sensor Processing Platform is the right architecture to enable the more immersive experiences the wearable market needs.
On Hearable- Brian Faith said,

with the charging case refueling the earphones up to five times on one charge of its own, and my usage found that to be accurate. On the downside, checking the battery life of The Dash Pro (shaking them to reveal a color battery level) and the charging case (plugging it into a power source through the micro-USB to USB cable to read the LED battery level) is not nearly as definitive as competitor earphones, especially without any app or widget functionality that could give a clearer percentage of battery for the devices.
This new wearable is NOT a hearable at all!

Bragi OS and Daily Use
Controlling all of The Dash Pro's features is mostly a pleasant experience, particularly in the all-new Bragi OS 3 that's available for both The Dash and The Dash Pro. A standout is the Virtual 4D Menu, which you can activate by looking downwards, looking straight ahead (a tone will sound here), then looking upwards to confirm. Once you're in the 4D menu, the Bragi Assistant will brightly give you context of what menu you're looking at, which you can turn your head to select and nod to activate: start/stop activity, call up Siri (or Google if you're on Android), play/pause music, and skip song.
When in use, it's kind of like having four imaginary screens in front of you at all times and, most impressively, the head gesture controls never failed me, although making such erratic gestures in public can feel silly. Another one of my favorite parts of The Dash Pro's operating system is something called My Tap, which was actually a part of Bragi OS 2 last year. With these gestures, you can set up a double tap on your cheek to either skip a song or play/pause what you're listening to, and it's one of the coolest and more reliable wireless headphone control systems I've ever used.
Commentary....So I am using these very solid ear buds- a new improved device as a mental model.
So what is wrong with them....they are NOT a hearable! They are deaf. SO if they are deaf they cannot
have a digital assistant change things on the fly as you move through your day. This starts to show
how the BIG tier 1s, or BIG apps companies can change the landscape. Compare this device to the new material on Samsung- they have a IconX in the market for over a yr now. They have Bixby and have added more and more voice technology- say the Greek company of last week....

Pressing that button will activate and launch Bixby,
It is NOT always listening in their best current designs. It just seems they would have to try a good LPSD on the bench on a smartphone, loose the Bixy button, so even if the device is in a car cradle you could make use of Bixby....Samsung loose the Bixby button and make a better device? Handsfree.....a Chinese maker who uses the Eos should make it with NO BUTTON and always listening?
QUIK help Samsung loose the Bixby button one day, please.

So don't be disappointed if the segment of the IoT seems small, it will get BIGGER
Consider that on a smartphone Samsung/anyone just might be able to loose an on/off button for a Bixby/Digital assistant ;-)
