this snip...

many (most) involved with QUIK through NI or RIR have been through the wringer with this co.

just because I seem to have no affective disorder and am optimistic; I have probably been in QUIK longer than most anyone here, and if times through the wringer were to mean a thing I would be at the top, but there is one word
of great utility here.

Resilience.

I did not have that, but I read very carefully the Time mag issue of a few wks ago.....

Scientists now know why some people rebound so well from setbacks. They also know how the rest of us can be more like them

One snip

Resilience is essentially a set of skills–as opposed to a disposition or personality type–that make it possible for people not only to get through hard times but to thrive during and after them. Just as rubber rebounds after being squeezed or squished, so do resilient people.

That’s why Charney and Southwick emphasize again and again the importance of finding resilience-building skills you’ll stick with. When Charney lost his granddaughter and Southwick’s mother died, each leaned on the other to get through it–a case of resilience-building social support in action.

I did NOT have it, but I needed it and knew from all the biographies of the famous people, say Henry Ford, one of the most interesting Frank Loyd Wright, many others etc.
that they just got up off the matt that they got layed flat on. I, like the Time article have developed QUIK resilience. It's also why I just read, read, read and many things
not related to QUIK in the immediate sense. Follow the job listings, they have been at work on adding the MCU for 18 months or so. Maybe the resilience lesson will be worth more than the $$ I ultimately make with my QUIK investment? QUIK taught me how to develop resilience and now with the Time mag article that is exactly the point, if you are not born with it you CAN make it.

C Christensen's work has helped me a lot as he writes about the obstacles that face companies like QUIK and in that sense the disappointments from his lens are part and
parcel of working toward success in this mobile market. But the idea that they started with; of moving from their failed legacy biz ( though I am so happy it still helps pay the bills!! as much as it does)
to where they are now is already good story, now we just need the revolutionary chapter and some notice.

On to the S3, always keep something to look forward to and don't look back on the S1 for a minute. :)
