    Samsung is a company that never stops surprising its clients. It is a well-known fact that all modern Samsung Smartphones have sensor of heart rate. New devices Galaxy S9 will include a unique sensor that will measure owner’s blood pressure without any additional accessories.

    My BP Lab –result of cooperation with UCSF

    To benefit from using modern optical sensor, a Korean company and UCSF informed about launching of a new application My BP Lab that allows to measure blood pressure and to know level of your stress.

    An application uses an optical sensor that is built in new Galaxy Smartphones to get more detailed information about your health. Main aim of a new app is to control and improve owner’s health.

    When you open an application My BP lab you will be proposed to take part in a special research from UCSF, that will last for about 21 day. An aim is to know how stress influences people’s health.

    Participants have to inform about eating habits, sleep, sports activities and to inform about results of blood pressure. In such a way, participants will get detailed info about their level of blood pressure and stress. Such research helps to make BP Lab more accurate, collecting data all over the world.

    Now this program is available only in the US and if you wish to take part in it, then you have to be more than 18 years old and you have to won new Galaxy S9 or S9+.

    I can answer this question myself but still wonder how the S9 accomodates the power drain and processing without an Eos S3 type solution?

    QUIK does best with something thats always on. BPs at twice a day? Maybe more for the study, but we want stuff on a lot or always.
    Duty cycle?
