Saygus V2: the smartphone that is ambitious, even a little too much … Saygus V2: the smartphone that is ambitious, even a little too much …

Saygus is an unknown American brand of virtually everyone. Yet after five years of absence, she returns with an ambitious model called V2 (V or square). Maybe even a little too ambitious … Early 2010, the American manufacturer Saygus made about him by unveiling a smartphone can make video calls with reduced bandwidth. A performance that drew the attention of some professionals, but no more. Almost five years later, the company almost reborn from its ashes by unveiling a smartphone to the datasheet certainly tempting, but almost too ambitious for this small business in Utah. Its name: the V2 (V or square).
A high-end technical sheet …
The V2 is a smartphone with a data sheet is similar to that of the One (M8) or Galaxy S5. So this is a mobile-oriented high-end technology with premium components. The 5-inch screen displays images in Full HD. To animate this tile, V2 is equipped with a 801 Snapdragon 2.5 GHz plus 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD). The whole is powered by a battery of 3100 mAh. She wireless charging with Qi technology.
To increase the autonomy of the mobile, Saygus has equipped its mobile a coprocessor Arctic Link III QuickLogic that loads contextual information.
No big surprises side sensors and connectors: LTE, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, GPS, brightness, infrared, microUSB 3.0 (compatible HDMI host), fingerprint reader on the side, and micro school.
… Maybe even a little too much!
Multimedia side, the smartphone is equipped at the rear with a 20 megapixel camera with dual flash, autofocus and image stabilization, and in front of a webcam 13 megapixel camera with autofocus and image stabilization. The V2 has two front speakers. The components related to music is managed by a Harman Kardon audio signed chipset.
If you have not been impressed by all this, here are two more arguments: the smartphone is protected against splashing through HZO solution (a service that directly protects the internal components) and the mobile is able to manage two systems exploitation. Indeed, if the OS is integrated with the original Android (version 4.4 KitKat certainly), the V2 is compatible dual-boot, to install another OS, such as Windows Phone, Jolla or custom ROM.
this is just for FUN.

The V² (V Squared) provides a plethora of unique features and benefits to the user that are not found in current smartphones. Employing designers who hoped to break the mold of existing smartphone standards and expand the imagination of the consumer, we designed and created the new V². Its purpose as a super smartphone is to push the envelope of imagination to the benefit of consumers in diverse fields, occupations and interests worldwide opening a new door to the future of mobile communications.
Engineered with high-end components and materials, the new V² begins with Qualcomm’s Quad Core 2.5 GHz Quad Core Snapdragon Processor and provides its handler 64 GB of on-board flash memory and expandable memory storage that bests any competitor.
The V²’s impressive edge to edge border less 5″ 1080p FHD display also includes sunlight viewable capability allowing for video, movie or photo viewing in direct sunlight using and new technology from Silicon Valley.
The creators of HDMI and the HDMI standard, Silicon Image, have broken the mold again with their Wireless HD (60 GHz) technology. This new technology lets the user send HD wireless video to any monitor or TV through a 60 GHz dongle providing individuals, gamers and/or businesses with a new wireless viewing, playing and presenting experience in wireless HD, the first of its kind.
Using the front facing 13 MP and back 21 MP high end OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and auto-focus cameras of the V² will leave any “snap shot taker” cheerily looking for more opportunities to chronicle their experiences with our high resolution photos.
We have also equipped this new top of the line smartphone with a high energy/high capacity lithium-ion battery for maximum battery capacity giving the user a minimum of 3100 mAhs resulting with something in the range akin to 4500 mAhs overall under the power monitoring of a new battery saving technology. The Qi power charging from the Wireless Power Consortium also allows for wireless charging convenience.
The hardware components that provide the V²’s 3D audio experience from Harman Kardon are designed to give that coveted high fidelity audio feel while listening to favorite songs and/or watching movies, you tube videos and/or playing games.
The V²’s highly anticipated noise canceling technology allows Saygus to use only 2 mics while yielding the industries maximum noise reduction from this exciting new noise management technology, a Utah technology.
Also featured in the V² from our home state of Utah, is a new waterproofing technology with optimal moisture and water protection, and an online security technology for superb online protection.
More information on additional features will be provided in the coming weeks as well as videos demonstrating many of the exciting new ingredients found in the V².
Sincerely,
The Saygus Team

Saygus announces a new high-end Android smartphone after five year hiatus
by Brad Molen | @phonewisdom | November 11th 2014 at 5:26 pm

Saygus has been long forgotten over the course of time, only to be remembered by the most hardcore phone enthusiasts. The Utah-based phone maker enjoyed a brief moment in the spotlight at CES 2010 with its VPhone, a high-end (at the time) Android QWERTY device capable of doing two-way video calls over molasses-slow networks. The phone disappeared after becoming certified on Verizon’s open development initiative in August 2011. Surprisingly, the company’s not only alive and kicking, it’s working on a brand new high-end phone called the V-Squared (V2?). The smartphone will come with a 5-inch 1080p display, quad-core 2.5GHz Snapdragon processor (the chipset is unknown, but we’d guess 801), 64GB onboard storage and expandable memory that will “best any competitor,” 60GHz Wireless HD for low-latency wireless HD streaming, Qi wireless charging, 3D audio, a high-end camera with OIS, root access and a new type of biometric scanner on the right side of the device. It also says that it has a 3,500mAh battery, but a mysterious new tech is supposed to extend its life by 50 percent.
We’ve obtained images of the V-Squared, which show an interesting angular design on the top and bottom, as well as a hardware camera shutter button.
Given its curious history with the vPhone, Saygus has a lot to prove. It’s not easy to pick a company off of the ground after its first and defining device turns into vaporware, but that’s exactly what Saygus is setting out to do. It took a year and a half to get certified by Verizon, by which time the device was completely obsolete and largely forgotten; it can’t afford any delays on its new project. In order to get its foot in the door, a new player like Saygus will need to not only come out with a fantastic new device to grab consumers’ attention, but also ensure it can follow through on its launch. We’ll keep you posted as we learn more about Saygus’ second shot at success.\
To the casual readers; There were 6 hub engagements at OEMs whose names we would recognize in a snap. This is certainly NOT one of those.:-)
