Brian F. spoke of it. Apple makes folks in the same sector move along.
A new US Patent & Trademark Office filing shows Apple is very serious about adding biometric sensing to its AirPods.
Apples patent application for their sensor block for their hearables.....
they make their own silicon....
“…At least one of the biometric sensors is configured to be pressed up against a portion of the tragus for making biometric measurements. In some embodiments, the housing of the earbud can be symmetric so that the earbud can be worn interchangeably in either a left or a right ear of a user…” the patent reads.
If they switch to QUIK now at least they can sleep at night knowing they can add HR
in their next gen devices.
Apple makes them evolve their hearables.
A big pic item that QUIK is happy to see.
So for the GEEKS.
Its NOT a NEW patent. Its an update...

what sensors do they include in their application?
these...
Patent Claim #5. The earbud as recited in claim 1, wherein the biometric sensor positioned along an exterior surface of the housing at the first end of the housing and selected from the group consisting of a heart rate sensor, a VO2 sensor, a GSR (galvanic skin response) sensor, an electrocardiogram (EKG) sensor, an impedance cardiography (ICG) sensor and a temperature sensor.
The identification of the specific sensors was NEW in the update.

Its also generally thought that Apple has 2 planned models on their hearable roadmap.
